태풍 라이언록이 8월 29이 북한을 휩쓸면서 50년에서 60년 동안 기억에도 없는 홍수를 야기한지 한달이 지났습니다.

신복석(65)씨와 그녀의 손자 김금혁(11)군이 중요한 소지품을 찾기위해 그들의 집의 잔해를 파고 있습니다. " 삼일동안 모든것이 바다로 변했습니다." 라고 신할머니가 말했습니다.  그들은 그들의 개인 소지품과 겨울 음식으로 주요한 품목인 김치를 넣어두는김치 항아리를 비롯하여 집안 살림살이들을 잃었습니다. 연사군에는 40,503명의 사람들이 사는데 81명이 죽거나 실종되고

27,308명이 집을 잃었습니다.

A month after Typhoon Lionrock ravaged North Korea on 29 August causing flooding not remembered in 50 to 60 years, Shin Bong-Suk(65) and her grandson Kim Kum-Hyok(11) are digging through the ruins of their home, looking for prized possessions. "Everything turned into a sea for three days," Shin said. They lost all their personal belongings and household assets, including kimchi pots used to store kimchi, a staple winter food. In Yonsa county, population 40,503, 81 people are dead or missing and 27,308 are homeless.

Kim Young-Ran, a nutritionist from DPRK's Institute of Child Nutrition, works with First Steps to get the word out about the benefits of micronutrient Sprinkles. First Steps has provided an emergency shipment of Sprinkles to be distributed to pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as children under two, who are at the greatest risk of malnutrition following the disaster.

임 경화 의사가 홍수가 그의 진료소를 완전히 씻어 내려가 버리기전에 그의 진료소가 있던 자리에서 얼마 떨어져 있지 않은 

곳의 텐트에서 환자들을 돌보고 있습니다. 그는 현재 그들의 집이 있던 자리에 텐트에서 살고 있는 1,200명의 사람들을 돌보고 있습니다.  홍수이후로 그의 환자수는 네배가 늘었습니다. 모두 대부분 급격한 호흡장애 질병들과 설사때문입니다.  겨울이 다가오고 있으므로 그의 염려는 어떻게 하면 그 환자들을 따뜻하게 해 줄 수 있을까 입니다.  무산에는 24,386명의 사람들이 난민이 되었고 443명의 사람들이 죽거나 실종되었습니다.

Dr. Lim Kyong-Hwa is treating patients in a tent just a few metres from where his clinic stood before it was completely washed away in the flood. He's currently taking care of 1,200 people, living in tents where their homes once stood. Since the flood, his daily patient load has quadrupled, mainly due to acute respiratory illnesses and diarrhea. With winter coming he's concerned about how he will keep his patients warm.
