Gwanghwamun festival.. Enjoy free nice concert at Gwanghwamun~

Gwanghwamun frestival is free nice concert at gwanghwamun that I didn't know before.

Sept.23rd I happened to be at Gwanghwamun with my son and his friend from canada.

I was giving a day tour in Seoul for my son's friend.

 

When we were in front of King Sejong statue I heard some music sound and when I looked where

the music was from, I could notice that they set up the stage in front of stairs which is next to sejong art center.

It was temporary stage and I didn't see that many people at the stairs.

 

My son and his friend were not interest in korean music so they didn't want to go there but I noticed musician's

uniform.

 

They were my favorite Korean traditional music orchastra that I go to the concert every month.

 

I felt so luck so I stayed for concert and really enjoyed!!!

Middle of concert they had lion dance as well... just like their monthly concert...

 

 

Stage is just out side on the street so You can really appreciate their closeness.

 

 

Two men's lion dance was really good and friendly with audiances...

 

 

They had korean traditional singer in their program as well.

 

 

 

Gwanghwamun festival is from sept 23 to Oct. 18.

Every tue - friday  they have concert at 6:30 pm

Weekend and holidays they have concert at 4:00 pm.

 

They have a different concert everyday exept Mondays.
